yeah on 4.5.0 libgcc.so is a linker script but 4.4 is still broken with this issues I guess http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-cvs/2009-09/msg00315.html needs backported to 4.4 branch as well. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43810
