The DB has been successfully upgraded to 3.6.2 (locally, of course), and I have converted GCC hardcoded columns into custom fields, i.e. using offically supported features in Bugzilla 3.x. So I will be able to install a test installation on the server soon, so that you can have a first look at the new installation.
