I don't expect this to be fixed in 4.6.x; I may work on it for 4.7.0, but I
expect that the changes required won't be trivial.
So I'm adjusting the target milestone.
Of course, if someone else volunteers to fix it in the 4.6.x release line,
please feel free to adjust the target.
