Depending how much ground we want to cover, this
can be tricky.

Off my head, I can think of the following examples:

(a(i), i=1,10) --> a(1:10)
(a(i), i=1,10,2) --> a(1:10:2)
(a(2*i), i=1,10) --> a(2:20:2)
((a(i,j), i=1,10), j=1,2) --> a(1:10,1:20)
((a(i,j), j=1,2), i=1,10) --> no equivalent
((a(i,j), j=1,2) --> a(i,1:2)
(a(i,2*i), i=1,10) --> no equivalent
(a(i**2), i=1,10) --> no equivalent
