--- Comment #8 from Jack Howarth <howarth.at.gcc at gmail dot com> --- Note that configure test does succeed if the '-arch i386' option is also passed to the assembler. Perhaps the tests aren't fine-grained enough as they are only done for x86_64 in config.log.
