--- Comment #2 from Hin-Tak Leung <htl10 at users dot sourceforge.net> --- Sorry I no longer recall the details from 5 years ago, but it seems that I have managed to build later versions of gcc 3 years ago: https://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2014-01/msg00048.html and I seemed to have figure out bug 44959 also, so this is perhaps no longer relevant, especially given that the alpha platform is no longer supported. Please feel free to close.
