But I don't think you would be very happy parsing " 123 4" and still get the same result as "1234". Or if you were to give it a blank string and get 0 where "0" would also give 0. If your database application depended on it for validating input. That could produce unintended results and impact security, wouldn't you think so? Nonetheless, thank you for your time.
