Nothing, I'd say: with coreutils 8.31, you managed to install a version of ln that's effectively unusable on Solaris 10. I'd claim there's no point to try and detect/workaround this: the only sensible solution for those few people affected is to either backout coreutils 8.31 or use a locally patched version.
