I only reported bugs for those diagnostics that I as the German translator did not understand immediately. Since the diagnostics are not documented anywhere else (like invoke.texi for command-line options), my only additional source are the tests. Having all the words from the diagnostic directly in the test would have the additional benefit of being easier to read. Currently the test reads: > namespace A > { > enum class E { V }; > > using E::V; // { dg-error "name enumerator" } > } The word "name" could be a noun or a verb here. Since English is a very ambiguous language, I cannot know that from the message alone. If the complete diagnostic had been written here, the test would tell a self-contained story.
