That's not true. GCC 4.8.1 for x86 does support that option. I haven't checked, but I think GCC 4.8.1 for arm does too. The option isn't listed in the manual for all targets, but it is supported. The manual was wrong, which was fixed as PR 16519. Anyway, stop using bug reports to ask questions.
