Thanks for the patch.  I no longer commit due to the migration to git.

I've changed the Status to Reopened so that another gfortran developer
might take a look.

You can likely get some attention for this PR and your patch if
you post it in fort...@gcc.gnu.org and gcc-patc...@gcc.gnu.org.
Ask someone to committed.  You might need to ping the email after
a week or so if no one respondes.
