CCing Andrew MacLeod since he originally wrote this scripts back in 2015.
I think these scripts were useful to GCC development when they were contributed
but only internally to development of GCC; not used outside otherwise.
So updating them is only done if they are still used which I doubt anyone has
used them in the last 5 years or so anyways.
