This is misleading. POSIX had no authority in 2008 to declare that asctime was
considered for removal (which is what their marking as "obsolescent" is
specified to mean), because this is an ISO C function, POSIX defers to the C
standard, and the C standard did not deprecate it until C23. That said, now
that it is deprecated in ISO C, the result is still the same.
