I think I'll do both: the added close-line has its merits not the least aesthetically. Also, a ! { dg-final { remote_file target delete "fort.10" } } (as applicable) needs to go in a lot more test-cases when reasoning as above, so it serves better as a general clean-up. (Many other "artefacts" are left in obj/gcc/testsuite/gfortran, but I'll leave that to Someone Else.)
