While I still don't fully understand the fail, the patch of comment 1 seems
to fix it and the issue found is presumably the only issue for the fails.
Hence:
FIXED on mainline (GCC 16) and as the testcase is new with GCC 16, added by
commit r16-1055-g4e47e2f833732c, this PR is now RESOLVED.
