Some measurements without checking.

Current trunk:
real    42m0.390s
user    41m33.576s
sys     0m26.780s

Current gcc-15 release branch:
real    37m48.690s
user    37m7.938s
sys     0m40.679s

Current gcc-14 release branch is very slow:

real    226m13.778s
user    225m30.795s
sys     0m42.809s

gcc-13 release branch is

 TOTAL                              :2459.99         1605M
(41 minutes)

gcc-12 release branch is (forgot the time command)

 TOTAL                              :2490.37         1605M
(41 min 3 sec)
