The attached file is obtained from % gmake bootstrap |& tee output_-Wl,-M.txt I'll note that bootstrap fails with gcc-15.2.1 installed from FreeBSD's ports. It fails with gcc-15.x built from top of the branch. It fails with a freshly built gcc-16 top-of-tree. The irony here is that the gcc-16 top-of-tree was bootstrapped with FreeBSD's cc and cc++ (aka clang).
