I tried to reproduce it under Qemu with AlmaLinux 8.10 (all updates applied at
that moment) while using as a stage 0 compiler
2ab93fb46cd01811ae47279c6a743264463d715e targeting
dff16819605b9b728ecc71a21135efe0d77289aa. That compiled just fine using the
same configure options. This leaves me with the only wild guess that there is
something wrong with all the other updates you mentioned.
That being said, if you have a reproducer for me please reopen and I will have
a second look.
