Guessing this is a potential candidate for backporting given it's a wrong-code
issue and I suspect the code in question hasn't changed meaningfully recently.
It's on the weekly tracker, so we'll sync on it in the next meeting (this week
or next week, I may have to cancel again this week as I'm on the road again).
