Note pcom was enabled at -O2 starting in GCC 12, there was an ICE at -O3
beforehand too.
Note also this is only ICE with checking enabled.
I think this ICEs started a long time ago; most likely when MEM_REF was
introduced.
Most pointers are compatiable which is why this is NOT seen as often but
function pointers, pointers with different address space can show up this
issue.
