I'd add two changes: Don't run on tiny since they don't have ASes:

/* { dg-do run { target { ! avr_tiny } } } */

Secure the loop against unrolling:

NI void test (uint8_t loops)
{
  for (uint8_t i = 0; i < loops; i++)
...

int main (void)
{
  test (3);
  return 0;
}
