Bug ID: 127942
Summary: gcc.dg/vect/bb-slp-pr126306-1.c: { target vect64 } / {
target vect128 } selectors silently ignored (missing
comment argument)
Product: gcc
Version: 17.0
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: testsuite
Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
Reporter: dmalcolm at gcc dot gnu.org
Target Milestone: ---
Spotted whilst experimenting with a new dg-lint warning:
gcc.dg/vect/bb-slp-pr126306-1.c: lines 11 and 13:
x[2] = 1; /* { dg-optimized "basic block part vectorized using 8 byte
vectors" { target vect64
} } */
x[4] = y[0]; /* { dg-optimized "basic block part vectorized using 16 byte
vectors" { target vect128 } } */
Both omit the comment argument, so I believe both selectors are consumed as the
comment and never take effect — dg-optimized routes to the process-message
saved-dg-warning path (gcc-dg.exp:1330).
