            Bug ID: 128381
           Summary: powerpc64le: scalar saturating subtract
(subwus/subdus) not exposed via ussub<mode>3, so
                    .SAT_SUB is never formed
           Product: gcc
           Version: 17.0
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: target
Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
Reporter: jskumari at gcc dot gnu.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Currently for powerpc, we have the *subfus<mode>3_<code> insn for
TARGET_FUTURE. It emits subwus or subdus by matching a raw RTL if_then_else of
the form (gtu|geu a b) ? (minus a b) : 0. It does not define the standard optab
ussub<mode>3 for the GPR modes SImode and DImode.

As a result, GCC's middle end never forms .SAT_SUB on this target.
