BTW, is that also the reason why very recently the gcc.gnu.org homepage
changed layout (the News column is much wider than the Release Series and Status
column), at least with Firefox 43.0?  The page has:
<td style="width: 50%; padding-right: 8px;" valign="top">
etc.
