These three patches add support for -mcpu=power11 to the PowerPC GCC compiler.
There are 3 patches in the set. I would like to check these patches into GCC 15 ASAP, and back port the patches into GCC 14 after GCC 14.1 ships. I hope to also back port these patches to other active branches after the code goes into GCC 15 and then GCC 14. Patch #1: This patch adds the basic support for power11. * This patch adds the -mcpu=power11. * This patch adds a power11 processor type. * This patch adds a bit to the isa_flags for power11 support. * This patch defines _ARCH_PWR11 if -mcpu=power11 is used. * This patch uses .machine power11 if -mcpu=power11 is used. * This patch passes -mpower11 or -mpwr11 to the assembler. * This patch uses the power10 defaults for power11. * This patch adds AUXV support for power11. Patch #2: This patch adds tuning support for power11, treating power11 like power10 at the current time. Patch #3: This patch adds tests that are run if the assembler supports either -mpower11 (under Linux) or -mpwr11 (under AIX). These patches have been tested with bootstrap builds on a little endian power10 and a big endian power9 system. When the GCC 15 tree opens up for general patches, can I apply this patch? -- Michael Meissner, IBM PO Box 98, Ayer, Massachusetts, USA, 01432 email: meiss...@linux.ibm.com
