I found that the diff you sent me is putting
new files in the toplevel gcc/ directory
instead of the gcc/libgfortran/caf directory.
I'm not sure if this is a difference between
BSD diff/patch and GNU diff/patch.
I will send you a fresh patch after I finish incorporating comments revievd so
far.
