Thanks.  While I was at it, I had a quick look at the other sparc tests
in configure.ac:

The 4 in the middle are all supported by Solaris as and gas >= 2.29.
Maybe the checks can be dropped at some point, too?  I wonder which gas
version we can expect/require these days.
