I worry about quoting.  Anytime you accept and pass on a argument list, 
typically means that you destroy the argument list, unless you have something 
to quote it for you.  bash (sh in general) has a fetish for destroying 
arguments.  :-(  A linker option that has \, or spaces or ' or " in it, is the 
type of problem I'm thinking of.  Also applies to filenames.
