It does work. You have to do a bit more fiddling if you want to use 'make install' into a system location, but that's about it. And usually one shouldn't do that anyway. There's /lib64 -> lib and /usr/lib64 -> lib symlinks, which help out. -- Daniel Jacobowitz CodeSourcery
