This should go to the Cygwin list. You're building in winsup, which is not part of gcc, so this is totally off topic. The answer is that you probably have a missing package, or maybe a non-Cygwin/native version of xmlto in your PATH, but we don't know. Send your cygcheck output as directed in cygwin.com/problems.html. Brian
