I use !SparkFS now rather than !ArcFS. I've had no problems with !SparkFS, and
the test case works properly with it.
With !ArcFS and GCCSDK GCC 4.7.4 Release 2, the test case still doesn't work
properly, but I do at least now get the same output whether I redirect the
output or not. Here's the difference compared to !SparkFS:

I hadn't noticed the truncation to 10 characters before (I suspect it was
there, but I didn't have the !SparkFS output to 'diff' against, so was doing it
by eye). Maybe this is more of a !ArcFS problem, than a gcc one?
