Thanks for a good news!

I'm a maintainer all lisp ports at MacPorts (~200 the most popular packages I 
guess) and as soon as ASDF is enabled, I may include GCL in my test cycle.

With this test cycles I've already discovered dozen of issues in different lisp 
packages, and a few issues in ECL and BoehmGC ;)

Thus, as help with the next release I may offer to upgrade GCL port inside 
MacPorts and builds across a lot of different versions. Some MacPorts users has 
access to PowerPC hardware and may test it here as well.

To make my life as maintainer a bit easy, may I ask you to merge a few patches 
into HEAD?
