Thanks for a good news! I'm a maintainer all lisp ports at MacPorts (~200 the most popular packages I guess) and as soon as ASDF is enabled, I may include GCL in my test cycle.
With this test cycles I've already discovered dozen of issues in different lisp packages, and a few issues in ECL and BoehmGC ;) Thus, as help with the next release I may offer to upgrade GCL port inside MacPorts and builds across a lot of different versions. Some MacPorts users has access to PowerPC hardware and may test it here as well. To make my life as maintainer a bit easy, may I ask you to merge a few patches into HEAD? - https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/lang/gcl/files/dont-override-CC-or-MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET.patch <https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/lang/gcl/files/dont-override-CC-or-MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET.patch> - https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/lang/gcl/files/fix-memory-corruption-on-macOS.patch <https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/lang/gcl/files/fix-memory-corruption-on-macOS.patch> - https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/lang/gcl/files/old-macOS.patch <https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/lang/gcl/files/old-macOS.patch> -- wbr, Kirill > On 21.
