Greetings!  This is just to announce that we have our macos arm port
working, and no obstacles remain any longer to the 2.7.2 release.

If anyone has anything *simple* they would like to get in before release
please let me know.

There is a bug in mac clang 17 and 21 in which at -O1 and higher the
compiler ignores a variadic function pointer declaration and compiles
calls through it as a call to a fixed arg function.  This is sensitive
to the location of the call within the function (i.e. close to exit).
gcc-15 does not show the issue.  If anyone knows anything about this
please let me know as well.
