ok. i see. it would just shift the burden to the unapi client, which
should probably be as simple as possible. the only mini-problem i need
to solve is, to which unapi server to redirect the listformats request
without an id, because the id would be the piece of information from
which i'd determine the correct server. but i'll figure this one out.
