According to this page:

For some strange reason, 2.5.2 seems to be missing from
the source archives at ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/gnu/grep/
so maybe it had a bad bug or something.

I'm running OpenSuSE-10.3, so I guess that explains why I have it.
