I'm also using Debian (lenny + testing), and also had Geany initially installed from aptitude. The following worked for me (and still works, as I sometimes refresh the plugins): 1. apritude purge geany. 2. Geany: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local ; make ; make install 3.
