[gears-users] Google Gears - WordPress - Cannot Detect Google Gears Installation

I've tried in multiple browsers. On the front end of my WordPress
installation (theme), I've put the google_init.js file and the various
other functions in place. However, the only way I can get it to work
is if I run it separate from WordPress (on a static page). I'm just
not sure what WordPress would be doing to cause an issue like this.
Has anyone had a similar issue?
