[gears-users] Transition to HTML5

Hi guys,

considering Google's move to abandon Gears in favour of HTML5, I'm  
just wondering what might be an equivalent method to ResourceStore for  
capturing ad hoc URLs and any associated media files?

I can't seem to find anything in the Safari documentation, other than  
the Application Cache (not useful for ad hoc URLs) and that BLOBs are  
can be stored in the Database.

Does anyone have any example how best to cache ad hoc URLs and  
associated media in something like Safari?
