>From what I read Google are going to support HTML5 and therefore they
will let Gears 'dye', although will continue to support it in the near
future... So basically, they want to get rid of it as it isn't that
beneficial to keep updating when HTML5 will hopefully be better
supported by more browsers and will provide better features.
