1) I'm getting errors from Firefox on my when I enable Gears - message
appears indicating an incompatibility with my Linux build. I searched
the FAQ for clues about this, and found:

"What does Gears require to be compatible with my Linux system?
    "If you'd like to run the Gears for Firefox on a Linux (32-bit)
platform, please make sure your system has glibc 2.3.5 or higher and
libstdc++6 (Gears 0.3) or libstdc++5 (Gears pre-0.3). "

When I checked, I found I have libstdc++-4.4.1.2, and thought "Ahah,
I've got an old library!" But when I searched for a version 6 of this
library I found that GNU GCC current version is 4.4.3, not 6. Digging
a little further, I found that this version includes file libstdc++.so.
6, which I now presume to be the one referred to in the FAQ.

At this point, I'm stuck, and have disabled Gears until I can get a
solution.

Any ideas?

2) Is this the forum to suggest someone go fix the FAQ answer to
clarify the library version - i.e., "libstdc++.so.6 is required" or
add a reference to version 4.4, rather than the ambiguous and non-
standard reference "libc++6"?

Thanks,

Rob
