That error message can occur for any number of reasons. Please run
Geary with:
geary --debug > geary.log
and then attach the generated log file to an email to the Geary team
directly at [email protected]. We can take a look at it and figure out
what might be happening.

There was an error opening the local account. This is probably due to
connectivity issues.
please check your network connection and restart geary.
Also I'm brand new go Geary and would like to submit a feature
request for
delay/disable auto-reading when selecting emails in list. Where
should I
do that?
