- OpenOffice.org kondigt de stemming aan
over de locatie voor de OOoCon 2007 -
De officiële OpenOffice.org conferentie (OOoCon) is een
ontmoetingsplaats voor mensen die geïnteresseerd zijn in ontwikkeling,
promotie, vertalen en gebruiken van OpenOffice.org.
Vorig jaar was er een heel geslaagde conferentie in Lyon, Frankrijk,
georganiseerd door de OpenOffice.org groep aldaar.
De voorstellen van dit jaar laten zien dat OpenOffice.org steeds
belangrijker wordt in Aziatische landen en in Europa. Er zijn
voorstellen uit:
* Barcelona (Spanje)
* Beijing (China)
* Dehradun (India)
Leden van de OpenOffice.org gemeenschap zijn van harte uitgenodigd om
hun stem uit te brengen op de locatie van hun voorkeur.

De stemming zal open zijn van 5 t/m 18 februari. Het zijn maar twee
weken, dus stem bijtijds.
De gekozen locatie zal kort na sluiting worden bekend gemaakt. De
stemming is beperkt tot mensen die geregistreerd zijn op het moment dat
de stemming begint.

OpenOffice.org announces voting for the location for OOoCon 2007
The official international OpenOffice.org Conference (OOoCon) brings
together people who are interested in the development, promotion,
and use of OpenOffice.org.
Last year, members of the OpenOffice.org community gathered at the
official international OpenOffice.org Conference (OOoCon) in Lyon, France
for a superb conference hosted by the local OpenOffice.org community.
This year's proposals reflect the growing importance of OpenOffice.org
in the Asia Pacific area as well as Europe, with strong proposals from:
* Barcelona (Spain)
* Beijing (China)
* Dehradun (India)
Members of the OpenOffice.org community are invited to go to the
following web page to submit a vote for their preferred location:

Voting will be open from 5th February - 18th February inclusive. Just
two weeks - so please vote early.
The chosen location will be announced shortly after that date. Voting
is restricted to people registered with the OpenOffice.org site when
voting opens.
