They will climb on logs or things with rough surfaces since they have claws that
allow them to do this. They don't stick to the glass at all. If you give them a ramp,
they will climb out. They don't care about how far the drop is! ;-)

I personally don't like heat pads, they tend to not be high quality and bring a host
of problems, like the potential to burn geckos and develop hot spots. Not to mention
the remote possibility of electrical fire, but cheap heat pads have been the cause
of  tragedy.  Incandescents work fine, set them up on a timer to go on at dawn, off
at dusk.

No, that is best for leo or any hatchling gex.
