Hello again everyone.
Over the past two days I've had two crested geckos who failed to hatch. The
problem seemed to be that they could not fully cut the shell. They managed
to cut a small slit, but not one wide enough to let them get out of the egg.
In one case, it looked like the hatchling had made considerable effort but
just couldn't get through the last bit. (the inside of the egg looked quite
scratched up.)
What could be some possible reasons for this? Is too much calcium (and too
thick of eggs) a possible explaination, or is something else more likely?
These particular eggs were incubating at about 80F with a night drop.
