Caso and Carrie live in one house, Gabbie and Tagia in the other, believe it or not, Tagia, the smaller one, eats less then Gabbie the bigger one.  I have tried keeping them seprate before, neither eat when I do, and I have had them seperated to the point they lose weight, but I put them back together, they are fine. Caso and Carrie have the same weird attachment. I was told they didnt get attached to eachother, I am more worried that Tagia will have problems with what she swallowed. Do you think it will pass?

thanks

Liz

Liz,

Are these leos?  I wait until probably around 30 grams to use any kind of substrate.  As hatchlings, newspaper and paper towel are what I use.  This really works for most terrestrial species.

As for the size, if you can raise them separately, they will benefit from it.  I would definitely suggest separating the 17g from the others.  If nothing else, she will out-eat the others, keeping them from getting much to eat.  The larger geckos will definitely bully the smaller ones.

Good luck,

Keith
