One trick I learned while hand feeding my fat tailed gecko was to take a 
mealworm or a wax worm and cut the head off.  Then I would hold my gecko 
and touch the guts from the worm to her lips.  She would lick it off.  As 
she licked, I would squeeze the worm to expel the contents.  Eventually she 
started taking the whole worm and finally she is eating on her own.  I also 
used a product called Jump Start.  This is kind of a sticky ointment like 
substance.  With that I would place a drop on her nose and she would lick 
it
off.
