This year, my female leos took around 30 days from mating to laying the eggs. Then
laid clutches anywhere from 20-35 days apart.

The eggs should be visible through the stomach about a ten days (maybe more) before
they are laid. The female will also be very obviously plump around her middle in the
last week or so.

Make sure you have a humid hide (and keep it humid) in there for your females to lay
their eggs in. As this is their first season, it may take them a bit of time to
figure out what they are supposed to do. Some of my first timers, spend a lot of time
(3-5 days) digging in various parts of the tank, and a lot of pacing about before
laying.

For about a week before they are ready to lay, the females become more inactive,
usually lying out in the open at the warm end of the tank. They also lose their
appetites (presumably because the eggs are squeezing their stomach so much).

Good luck,
Pauline

Hi all!
I just bought two tangerine leopard Geckos, of which are a year old. (one male, one
female) the breeder sold them to a local pet store i go to and i bought it from them.
The female has already laid 6 clutches this year. I dont
know if she's pregnant right now, but she hardly eats, and she's always
hiding, They look to be perfectly healthy they have nice fat tails...they've
been at my house for a month now.
Also i have a pair of normal leopard geckos as well. They just reached adult
size and they have mated once last month, the female does not eat, but does walk
around the cage time to time...could this be because they are pregnant?
or is something else wrong with them?
How long does it take to visibly see the eggs inside them, how long does it take
before she lays her eggs?
Thanks a bunch, i am starting to get worried :(
-Sam
