Why would any one spray when they could have geckos instead? I loved the gex 
when I lived in Hawaii. We didn't have the Day geckos in 1979, the last time I 
was there, but the other gex were great fun. I remember one on our sliding 
glass door that was so small it was transparent and you could see the bugs it 
consumed inside it. Growing up in Hawaii is one reason I love all sorts of 
interesting creatures.

They may be eating insects that have been treated with pesticides from outside 
your home [I hope not]. The coloration maybe a symptom of there discomfort, 
some of my house geckos darken when they are about to die.
