But so is gEDA 20041228 not even two months old yet). Users who don't
want to upgrade gtk+ can also use old gEDA without problem.

OK, so gEDA 20041228 has bug fixes and new features that many users
would want. So does gtk+ 2.4.

I think that's unrealistic and unreasonable for the developers. That
means GTK+ 1.2 at best.

A good distribution (of linux or NetBSD or whatever) makes it easy to
upgrade the libraries you need. Sorry, but I don't care about other
systems.
