gEDA: CAD Library of the Future

I found the "CAD Library of the Future" document at
http://www.pcblibraries.com/resources/7351.asp to be both informative
and comical. Remember, IPC doesn't give anything away, and the concept
of gEDA eventually being a major player in the EDA marketplace may
become something that they will be forced to deal with. Anyone up for
spending several thousand dollars for a universal symbol/footprint
library for gEDA?
